The transition from 5G to 5G-Advanced marks a pivotal shift in global infrastructure: we are moving away from the era of "faster pipes" and into the age of the Programmable Economic Machine. By decomposing the network into a cloud-native, Service-Based Architecture (SBA), telecommunications is adopting web-native design principles that allow every layer of the network—from the physical radio to the core signaling—to be managed as a software stack. This evolution enables Network Slicing, where dedicated virtual networks can be dynamically carved out to provide deterministic performance for mission-critical applications like autonomous robotics and remote surgery.

Economically, the value proposition has migrated from coverage to intelligence and determinism.
